RETRO FUTURISTIC UTOPIA
MILAN AND ROME MAIN TRAIN STATIONS

APRIL 2022
Roma | Milano

Retro Futuristic Utopia is a futuristic vision that looks to the past, an idealized urban landscape with a deco-punk aesthetics. The prototype of the central robotic figure represents the city that builds itself. It’s a tribute to the movie Metropolis (1927). The entire composition is divided into two main buildings: the Chrysler Building and the Paramount Theatre of New York. The theatre's facade is designed in continuity with a part of the Eastern Columbia Building of Los Angeles. Future is unknown, just as the year this imaginary story is set, the 19?4. The mechanical eye checks the entire scene, recalling a dystopic description taken from the book 1984 by George Orwell.
