BOOKHAUS = The artwork’s title is a pun between BOOK and HAUS (the house of books) inspired by the school of art and design BAUHAUS. It is a tribute to the Bocca bookstore. The panel structure repeats the interlocking scheme concept used for the floor and the shelves of the bookstore. The subtitle Composizione in RGB (Composition in RGB) stands for RGB digital color method, but with changed meaning, referring to the initial letters of the Italian words ROSSO (RED) - GIALLO (YELLOW) and BLU (BLUE), primary colors used by Piet Mondrian in his neoplastic paintings.
